Why the Jablotron JA-100 is the alarm we recommend most

When customers ask us for "a good alarm", the conversation almost always ends at the same place: the Jablotron JA-100. It's the system we've installed in Maltese flats, villas and shops for years, and the reasons haven't changed — it's flexible, it's reliable, and it's genuinely pleasant to live with.

One platform, wireless and wired

Most alarm ranges force a choice: a wireless system for finished properties, or a wired one for new builds. The JA-100 does both on the same control panel. BUS devices connect over a simple cable; wireless devices join through a radio module with years of battery life. In a typical retrofit we'll wire the keypad by the door and go wireless everywhere else — no chasing walls, no mess.

Control that makes sense

Jablotron's segment keypads are the feature customers fall in love with. Each glass segment is one thing — 'House', 'Garage', 'Pool gate' — with a green and a red button. Anyone can operate it on day one. The MyJABLOTRON app adds remote arming, notifications and photo verification from camera detectors like the JA-122PC, so when something triggers the alarm you see a snapshot of exactly what happened.

The new Mercury generation

The latest Mercury panels (JA-102K and JA-152K series) move the platform to 4G and a cloud-first setup flow. Commissioning is faster, firmware stays current, and the app experience keeps improving. We stock Mercury panels alongside the classic JA-103/JA-107 range, together with Jablotron's own JI-series 5-megapixel cameras that drop video verification straight into the same app.
