UniPOS fire detection: addressable or conventional?

From the IFS7002 interactive panel to the FS4000 series — understanding the two families of fire systems, and which one your building needs.

Fire is where SecureVision's story began, and it's still the part of the job we treat with the most respect. Our fire range is built on UniPOS — EN 54-certified detection made in Bulgaria and installed across Europe.

Conventional: simple and dependable

A conventional system divides the building into zones. When a detector triggers, the panel tells you the zone — 'first floor', 'kitchen block' — which is all a smaller premises needs. The UniPOS FS4000 series (4, 6 or 8 zones) and FS5200 panels cover shops, offices, small hotels and workshops with straightforward, dependable detection.

Addressable: every detector has a name

In larger or more complex buildings, 'zone 3' isn't good enough. An addressable system gives every device its own identity: the IFS7002 interactive panel reports the exact detector in alarm — 'Room 214, heat detector' — with up to 125 devices per loop and event logs for the fire engineer. Faults, contamination and maintenance needs are reported per device too.

Around the panel we supply the full UniPOS ecosystem: FD-series optical smoke, heat and combined detectors, manual call points, conventional and addressable sounders, and interface modules that tie the fire system into door releases and extract fans.

Designed with due diligence

Fire detection is a life-safety system, so design comes first: detector coverage, sounder audibility, cause-and-effect logic, zoning that matches escape routes. That's the work behind every quotation we issue — because with fire, done properly is the only acceptable standard.
