V-TEC 2-Easy intercoms: video door entry over two wires

The DT series turns the humble doorbell wire into a video intercom bus — ideal for Maltese townhouses and apartment retrofits.

The most common intercom question we hear is: 'Can we have video without ripping out the walls?' With the V-TEC 2-Easy DT series, the answer is usually yes — because the whole system runs on two wires, often the very pair your old doorbell already uses.

Two wires, no polarity, no fuss

The 2-Easy bus carries power, audio, video and data on a single non-polarised pair. Daisy-chain or star wiring both work, so whatever the original electrician did in 1985, we can usually make it a video intercom today. That's what makes DT the retrofit king in Maltese townhouses.

From villa kits to apartment blocks

A single home takes a DT607 outdoor station and a monitor — including the DT-47 touch-screen models in black or white. Apartment blocks scale with multi-button DT607 variants or the DT821 touch-screen directory panel, DMR digital road modules, and a monitor or DJ-9 audio handset in every flat. ID card readers built into the outdoor stations double as keyless entry for residents.

GSM call-through

The GSM gateway versions forward door calls to a mobile phone — a favourite for rented property and elderly relatives' homes, where the person answering the door isn't always inside the building.

Fitted around your building

Every block is wired a little differently, so we survey first, then quote. Bring your apartment count and a photo of the entrance to our showroom and we'll put a 2-Easy system together for it.
